Is it naptime yet?

I am so tired today.

And so are the girls.

I kept Charlize home today.
She was so congested when she woke up that she couldn't breathe through her nose at all.

Everyone is grumpy and extra tired.
We went to bed at a reasonable time last night and everyone slept all night, so I don't know why.
But we are.

It's only 1040am and we're all ready for a nap.

I keep thinking about everrrrrrything I have to get done.
And it makes me more tired.

Is it naptime yet?
No?
Are you sure?!

We got the Christmas tree put up today.
It's not very decorated yet, but this is earlier than we usual manage to get it done!

I had to rearrange a few things to make room.
I don't like where I had to put things.
I put the cubby bookcase in the dining room and the kids' table in the living room where the cubby bookcase was.
I don't like it.
But the kids use the table every day, especially Rayce, I really don't want to put it in the basement until after Christmas.
So, we'll deal with the arrangement for now.

Moving things around got me thinking a lot about how to improve things around the house, and I think that at tax time I'm going to invest in a few more cubby stands, to replace the dining room bookcase. I would almost like to replace the china cabinet too, it's not like it actually holds any china!

I'm fighting quite a headache tonight, I can tell it's going to make it hard to sleep.
Tension headache, it goes down the back of my neck and into my jaw.
I hate these headaches.

Anyway, enough for now, I've gotta take some ibuprofen and hit the sack.

I just love sitting in

I just love sitting in the van for half an hour because my kids refuse to sit down. Not going anywhere till they do, though. It's not worth it to fight them into their seats, because they can unbuckle themselves. So, we'll just sit here until they get bored and realize I mean business, I guess.

The urge for facebook is strong today.
Must find something to keep myself bussssy!
Perhaps I'll clean my room and put laundry away.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Yesterday I got the basement stairs all cleared off and vacuumed.
It's been...
ummmm.
A very long time, since the stairs were clear :-/
I feel really good about getting it done.

I'm trying to get things done that are usually neglected.

I suppose next on my list should be to re-organize the dining room bookcase.
Or to purge enough to get rid of it completely, I really want a new one in that spot, the shelves are sagging terribly.

In other news, Liliya has been using the potty a lot lately.
Even when she's in panties or even a diaper.
THIS is a huge improvement.
Previously, she's only recognized the urge to go (before it happened, anyway), if she was naked.
Now she's recognizing it at other times, too, which is a big step in the right direction.
I'm feeling pretty confident she will be day trained by her 3rd birthday in a month and a half.
:o)

I've really got to inventory all the Christmas presents to make sure everything is as even as possible and to figure if and what else I need to get.
I know I'll need some things for stocking stuffers.
I'd like to get the girls some jewelry, the boys each a watch, and I usually get them each a new electric toothbrush for their stockings. Then a few pieces of candy.
And I've gotta buy for our little cousins, Mom, Dad, Kim, and Ashley.
And get frames with photos put together for our aunts and uncles.
And photobooks made for Anthony's mom, dad, and grandma.
And put together tins with the ingredients for baked fudge, which I'm re-naming Pandora's Delight.
And actually mail out the Christmas cards that I haven't handed out yet.
And wrap all the gifts.
And still get the kids to finish up the handmade ornaments.
And put up and decorate the tree.

Yeesh.
Thought I was further ahead than that.
I should have known better!

Liliya has been begging to have her hair braided. But it's just too thin and fine. Which doesn't make any sense, because her hair is so coarse. But that's just the way it is. So I flat twisted the front at an angle. (Shhhh, she thinks they're braids!)

Happy Thanksgiving, again :o)

We made the trek out to Rochester today.

It was a looong drive.
I drove to Dad's, and from there, we rode in their new camper.
Which is nice.
Really nice.
Really, really, really nice.

BUT apparently I'm prone to motion sickness.
So the ride was not fun for me.

Anyway, it was great to see everyone who showed up.
We were missing a decent chunk of the family though, due to some sick little girls and a recent hip replacement surgery.
If you guys read this, we really missed seeing you there!!

And we saw some family we haven't seen in a couple of years.
I've come to terms with the situation.
Forgive but never forget.

I handed out our Christmas pictures/cards.
I wish I had been able to print more.
Next time I'll plan a little better and use the 2 day pictures instead of the 'pictures in seconds', so I can print more and save some money.

The food was amazing, as always.

The ride home was better than the ride there.
I think the darkness helped.
The lack of storm-gusting wind helped also.
I even slept part of the way.

We had some leftovers at Dad's, then headed home.

I.

Am.

Exhausted.

The kids are wide awake because they slept for most of the ride home.
I'm thinking about everything I have to do tomorrow.
Mom had a really hard time with the puppies today.
She doesn't keep an eye on them the way I do, so instead of the average 2-3 accidents in a given day, there were more than 6.
Eek.
I feel bad.
I'm gonna have to step it up with the potty training.

Annnnyway....

must

get

sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

It's been a crazy couple days.

We didn't do anything special for Thanksgiving.
In fact, most of our food was heat-n-eat.
Fully cooked turkey breast that we just popped in the oven for an hour or so.
Microwavable mashed potatoes and corn.
Stove Top stuffing.
Sauteed asparagus and mushrooms.
It was yummy.
I looooove thanksgiving food.
I loooooove thanksgiving leftovers!

I picked up the boys last night, tried to go shopping, failed at shopping.
I went back to TRU today with better luck, although they were out of everything I was looking for from the ad except for one thing.
But I got some good deals anyway.
I haven't inventoried everything yet, but I think I should be set except for one more thing I want to get for Rayce, then if I can afford it, I'll do a little more in a couple weeks.

I did photoshoots with Holden and Dante today, got some great shots, made out Christmas 'card' on photoshop (basically a 4x6 collage, easy enough!), and printed them on my way to drop the boys off.

They turned out so nice, I'm excited.

I feel like my photography is improving a *lot* lately, and I'm learning more about how to use photoshop, which is nice.

I won't post the pics until after I send out the cards.
I'm anxious to show them off, but I don't wanna spoil the surprise!

The pups have been doing better and better with the potty training.
We're still having a few accidents a day, but with two puppies, that's not bad.
They've gotten a million times better about their kennel, they don't cry at all.
They have both learned 'sit' and 'kennel', 'lay down' is next.

Anyway, we're off to Rochester tomorrow, got a long day ahead, so I'm off to bed.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Umm. Wow.

Toys R Us had a lot of great deals.
They opened at ten tonight.
I drove over.

Ummm. No.

If you're familiar with Toys R Us... Toys R Us is in the right side of the building (looking at the building), Babies R Us is on the left side. The line went from the TRU door towards the BRU side, around the side of the building towards the park, all the way around the back of the entire building, up in between TRU and Party City, and across the sidewalk all the way over to Christmas Tree Shop. I'm not wonderful with estimations... BUT I would say there were WELL over a thousand people standing in line. People were parking in the Greenfield Park lot, in Magic City Music Hall Lot, etc, and walking. It was nuts. I wish I could have taken a video. But I was driving. I came straight home. I hate to miss out on those deals, everything I had planned to buy was 50% off or more. But I'm not about to spend hours out in the cold behind hundreds and hundreds of people just to get into a store. I would rather wait and pay full price. Honestly.

CRAZINESS.

Cleavage is benny's favorite place to be. I love when he stretches his arms out in front of him, it's sooo cute
