It wasn't as bad as I expected

The colposcopy and biopsy were not anything like I expected.

It was uncomfortable for sure but it really didn't even hurt.

I had a lot of bleeding afterwards, though, to the point that the nurse threw a sheet over the front of the doctor   :-/

I tend to be a bleeder, normally.

When I give blood, they have to take extra measures to get the bleeding under control afterward.

I have been cramping and feeling shakey and incredibly tired, but I feel like most of that (besides the cramping) is from the stress and lack of sleep las night.

I literally got almost *no* sleep. It was light out again before I managed to catch a few Z's.

Jason stayed all day and took care of the kids and I.

Mom even changed a couple diapers.

My stepmom is going to take the kids for the weekend.

It will be a VERY welcome break and it will give me the chance to follow doctor's orders... namely, no lifting. No lifting butts to change diapers. No lifting kids up onto the potty. No dragging unwilling bodies to the time out corner!!

A lot of people kept me in their thoughts today.

I am blessed :o)

I have to call back next Thursday for the results. She said from the *looks* of things, it looked like just mild-moderate cervical changes that they will have to keep an eye on and do testing on every 6 months until it either goes away or gets worse. Of course she can't be sure it's not better or worse without the pathology report.

But I'm feeling much better about the whole situation. Even if it was really bad... cervical cancer is like the easiest one to cure. They just take the female parts out, usually laproscopically even. And my baby factory is closed for good, anyway, so it's not like that would pose a problem for me.

All in all, I'm soooo glad it's over with, I'm sooo glad it went so much better than I expected, I'm sooooo glad I have the support system that I do, and I'm soooo glad that it's bedtime :o)

Thoughts

My colposcopy and biopsy are tomorrow.

I'm really nervous :o(

I'm scared of the pain.

I'm a wuss, I know. But I can't help it.

Jason is going to stay with the kids while I go, and he's going to stay afterwards at least until Mom gets home so I can just relax and hopefully take a nap.

I'm certainly not getting any sleep tonight, it's after 1am.

Stuff

I got a back-to-school catalogue today.

Got me thinking about stuff.

So I figured I'd make a list, so I can stop thinking about it.

For back to school/fall/winter, we need:

The kids all need long sleeved shirts, turtlenecks, and sweaters/sweatshirts/hoodies.

They've all got plenty of jeans, PJ's, and their coats from last year should fit again this year.

Charlize needs a couple pair of khakis.

Rayce and Charlize will need new sneakers for school. Liliya, Dante, and Holden all have plenty of hand-me-downs. I would like to get Charlize a pair of UGG type boots again this year... Liliya will fit into Charlize's from last year.

We will need some snow boots and some snow pants... I have to pull out what we have and see what fits who and get rid of whatever won't fit anyone.

I'll have to get 'supplies' too. Rayce already got his supply list, it's ridiculously long.

If Megan gets Holden signed up for Head Start, he'll need a backpack.

And as long as I'm thinking about stuff and writing lists, I've been thinking about Christmas already too. I'm going to try to buy something for each kid every month from August until December. I might ask Mom if she'd be willing to do the same. It will cut back on pre-Christmas stress (mentally, financially, and time-wise). I'm putting a lot of thought into it this year, because I've been spending a lot of time purging the things that are broken and not played with anymore. I don't just want to bring more into the house that's going to end up at the Salvation Army, ya know?

Christmas Ideas, I'll keep a running list and add to it as I think of ideas.

Rayce- Bakugans, science-y type stuff (microscope, telescope?), bank that keeps track of how much money he has in it, early chapter books (esp Magic Tree House)

Holden and Dante- Power Rangers, Super Hero anything, action figure anything, socks and undies for at their mothers house

Charlize and Liliya- Barbies and Barbie clothes, 18" doll clothes, My Little Ponies, earrings, jewelry, jewelry boxes, Strawberry Shortcake

Liliya- BFC Inc doll (like the one I got for Charlize for her birthday)

All kids/group- Wii games rated early childhood or everyone, games (Connect 4, Junior Monopoly, Dominos, Perfection), video game chairs (like this one ), and I'd really like to get them something like this table with chairs and bench especially if I can find another bench to go on the other side.

I need to keep my eye out for any SuperMan clothing... SuperMan was Anthony's thing and I looooove finding SuperMan t shirts and stuff for the kids, in addition to anything with dragonflies on it, which was mine and Anthony's thing and is now my super-thing :o)

Jonny's birthday

Today was my nephew Jonny's 4th birthday.

And my stepmom Kim's birthday as well!

We had a pretty lazy day.

We sat around.

Watched TV.

Then we pulled out the Wii that Gramma bought for the kids.

That took an hour or so to open and hook up and figure out.

Then we played some video games.

MarioKart for Wii is flipping *awesome*.

So is Wii Sports.

I can't wait to get the Fit Plus and try those games too.

We seriously had a blast with it.

Then finally we all got dressed and we went to see Jonny for his birthday.

And again, I'll leave you with some pictures :o)

And last but not least, Jonathan with his brother Jeremiah and all 3 sisters, Julia, Josephine, and Melissa :o)

Birthday Partayyy

The kids had a great birthday party yesterday.

It was so incredibly disorganized that I'm almost glad we didn't have too many guests.

I've learned my lesson.

Next time I plan a party, I'm picking the boys up on the way to the party instead of the day before.

I can't get *anything* done with 5 kids underfoot.

Duh!!

Anyway, it was nice, albeit disorganized and slightly chaotic.

The kids had fun, that's all that matters.

They didn't get a ton of stuff, but they are thrilled with every single thing they did get.

Which makes me very happy!!

I'll leave you with some pictures from the day...

And to end the post, my favorite pic of the day... dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and the staff came over to get the whole place to wish their new friend Charlize a great big happy birthday YEEHAW, and she stood on that shair with her hand up in the air, grinning from ear to ear!!!

:o)

Syracuse trip, July 2010

We went to Syracuse today to see Anthony's family, and we had a wonderful time.

Anthony's cousin Lanaya and Grandma, Nanna Betty, threw all the kids a birthday party, since they missed them earlier in the year.

There were little gifts, tons of decorations, cake, chicken fingers and fries, potato chips, and punch.

We got to see a lot of people we don't get to see very often at all. We saw Nanna, cousins Lanaya and Kyle, Grampa Tony, Auntie Denise and cousin Shyann, Great Great Aunt Berline and cousin Carol, and we talked to Great Auntie Lisa on the phone.

The kids blew bubbles.

Ran around in the yard.

Played pin the tail on the donkey (Rayce and Charlize both cheated, Holden and Dante both put the tail across the donkey's face, and Liliya wouldn't play).

They played with sidewalk chalk.

They blew out candles, all 5 of them at once.

They opened presents... coloring books and crayons, temporary tattoos and stickers, playdough, yo-yos.

They piled on top of Grampa Tony for a picture (some of them willingly, and some of them not so willingly because we were getting ready to leave and they were trying to run away!)

We all had a wonderful time. It's a long drive for Mama to make alone with 5 kiddos, it costs me half a tank of gas to make the trip, but it was more than worth it :o)

Getting ready to go to Syracuse for the day.

Tomorrow is Anthony's dad's birthday.

Anthony's cousin Lanaya is throwing a little birthday party for all 5 kids, since they missed the first 3 birthdays of the year.

It should be fun :o)

Pros

After doing almost 3 miles on the treadmill last night for the second time ever...

I am thrilled to report that I'm not really sore today!

Last time, I was sore for 3-4 days.

Like... couldn't come up or down the stairs without groaning sore. Or get up off the couch.

Today, a teeny bit sore but nothing compared to last time!

And, not that the entire bloggie world needs to know, but working out seems to have helped a lot with my period this month, the cramps and bloating haven't been anything compared to what they usually are, and my period was much shorter and lighter than normal.

Hello!

:o)

Workout

Not too much to say tonight.

It's after midnight and I'm tired.

The kids went to bed early, so I'm sure they'll be up early.

I went to the gym with Jason.

Did almost 3 miles on the treadmill.

An hour straight.

I need new sneakers. The ones I have... I get blisters every time I use the treadmill. They're great for just everyday shoes but apparently not for cardio.

I feel good.

Not as sore as last time.

I can't wait to get my own gym membership, at a gym with daycare, so I can go 3-4 times a week to workout, instead of just when Mom feels like babysitting.

Post workout sweaty bliss :o)

Blahhh

Feeling really weird today.

Bad cramps. Headache. Sooo tired and feeling really out of it and slow.

Looking forward to bedtime.

Anyway, had a great day yesterday... hung out with the kids here at home, they played with playdough out back on their picnic table, then I scrubbed everyone up and we spent 3 hours at the park. I got some great pictures, and I'll leave you with those :o)

(I know, there aren't many pics of Liliya, she just wasn't feeling very photogenic, which is unusual for her... and Charlize *was* feeling photogenic, which is unusal for her! Usually Liliya loves to pose and smile and Charlize won't look in the direction of the camera for anything!!)
