Schroon Lake August 2009

We made it to the lake and back in a short 48 hours. It was just too much, having 5 children under the age of 5 in a non-childproofed place. It was too much, having all 5 kids sleeping (errr... *supposed* to be sleeping) in one room. It was too much, the constant "RAYCE, come back in here. HOLDEN stop playing with the doors! Charlize, get out of the fridge! Dante, SIT DOWN at the picnic table before you fall *again*! Liliya, get off the table!!!". If it wasn't one of them, it was another. It was constant. There was nothing I could do. We had to come home early. Which stinks.

I want desperately to be able to include the boys in everything we do. I want them to have all the experiences the other kids have.

But until they are all a little older (and mostly, a little more obedient and cooperative), it's just not very possible.

So, we made it there, stayed for a couple days, and came back.

It was fun. At times. LOL. It was stressful but the kids had a blast, and that is what is important.

I had visions of gorgeous pictures in my head... all 5 kids, lined up on the rocks out front with their white Easter clothes on, the lake and the mountains in the background....

Didn't happen.

I DID manage to get a ton of awesome shots of Holden, and a couple of each of the other kids (literally just a couple :o( ).

Here they are... enjoyyy!!!
