I've uprooted my blog.

And transported it over to wordpress.

I don't like the wordpress site as much, it's not as pretty, not as easy to use.

But it has some pretty nifty privacy options that I've decided I might to implement.

And this way, I can keep one single blog instead of multiple blogs for multiple things.

So from now on, my Camp Isaac Chaos blog and my photography blog and my private blog will all be in one place.

I can put passwords on certain posts.

I can put a unique password on posts with photos for clients.

Yesterday was a blast.

Drew and I took the kids to the Corning Museum of Glass.

I think we had more fun than they did, but it was a nice day trip.

Then we went to visit Drew's sister at Elmira College.

She gave us a mini-tour, the kids played in the fountains and ran through the grass and climbed in the trees.

It was awesome.

Great weekend so far.

Today will be interesting, though.

All five kiddos, plus Drew's little sister, plus Drew's daughter.

At a birthday party for my newly one year old niece!

random ramblings

I just tagged Anthony in a ton of pictures on facebook.

All the pictures of the kids from the last 8 months or so.

I plan to get to the rest at some point.

I want the page to be a fitting tribute.

I want anyone who knew him to be able to see the kids grow up.

I also found a few of his cousins on facebook, which is awesome.

I haven't seen them since the funeral.

Wayyyy too long.

I've been trying to take pics of the kids more regularly.

Today, for instance.

The girls and I were out front just hanging out.

They were riding bikes and coloring with sidewalk chalk.

And I pulled the camera out and snapped a few quick pictures.

I spent way more time editing them than I did taking them.

But, I looooooove taking pictures and I loooooooooooove editing them, anyway.

I need to make sure I pull the camera out at least once a week for some informal shots of each of the kids.

It makes me happy inside :o)

Anyway.

Mom and I did a quick grocery shopping trip tonight.

Which turned out to be not so quick, of course.

And resulted in bedtime coming an hour late for the kiddos.

Which meant that I only got to see Drew for a teeny little while before he left for work.

Which stinks.

But tomorrow is our afternoon together, which helps.

We're trying to have dinner together at least once during the week.

For now, it's Wednesdays.

And any other day we can manage :o)

It's getting easier to be all in the same place.

And harder to be in seperate places.

I can't wait until we can move in together.

I know it will be quite a while still, that time is months away, at the very least, but I still can't wait.

I love him, so much.

It feels good to be in love, to be happy, and to have so much hope for the future.

It's been six months and our relationship feels better every day!

This is the way love is supposed to feel.

You're supposed to fall more in love with the person all the time, not out of love a little at a time.

In other news...

it's bedtime for Bonzo.

Past bedtime.

I've been so tired lately, and I've got a lot going on tomorrow.

Photoshoot, babysitting, laundry...

It's weird.

To think about Anthony.

To miss him so much that my heart still breaks, and the tears still fall when I see a picture.

It's weird to think about him. To miss him. To want him to be here with us.

But, at the same time, to be in love with someone else.

To want to spend forever with him.

To imagine us growing old together.

It feels like I'm being pulled in two different directions.

It feels weird to miss Anthony and wish he were here... but to be in love with and dream about our future with Drew.

It feels weird to come to terms with the fact that Anthony was my past.

He's gone, there is nothing I can do about it, and there is no bringing him back.

And Drew is my future.

I had a dream several months ago.

Drew and I had a baby.

But Anthony was there, and he helped me pick out a name.

I think sometimes about how, if Drew and I ever managed to have a baby, I can only imagine that I would wish Anthony was there to share that moment with me.

I know that when the kids grow up and graduate and get married and have kids of their own, I'm going to ache for Anthony.

Even though I have no doubts at this point that Drew will be there my side.

It's such an odd feeling/thought.

Two very different places in my heart.

I can't imagine my life without Drew anymore.

But I still wish Anthony could be here with us.

It's confusing.

Having Drew doesn't make me miss Anthony any less.

It doesn't make me not wish he was still here.

Drew doesn't fill the empty space in my heart that Anthony's death left.

But Drew has created a new spot in my heart.

My heart has grown.

Broken. But stronger.

If that makes any sense.

It barely does to me.

Bad blogger, yes, I'm aware.

I've just been so busy and nothing new has been going on lately.

Rayce starts tee ball on Thursday, so maybe I'll have something new to post at that point.

The kids have been sick, on and off.

Bad allergies.

Random fevers.

Coughing.

Random pukes.

I was sick over the weekend.

From lack of Zoloft.

The side effects I get when I don't have it for a couple days... not pretty.

I finally found a leftover late Saturday night and picked up my prescription on Sunday morning.

I will never let myself run out, ever again.

It was baddd.

We've got a lot going on this coming weekend, and the following weekend.

Saturday, I'll be part of a highway cleanup crew, in memory of the brother of one of my best friends.

Sunday, we're hoping to go see MiMa and Grampa.

The following weekend, we're planning a day trip to the Corning Museum of Glass.

Lil Bit, the very large small dog we were dog-sitting, went home yesterday.

Now it's just Samson and Buster.

But Samson has taken to pottying inside the house.

Not cool.

I had all five kiddos Sunday and Monday, and my house is in shambles.

Today will be spent over at Drew's house, doing some laundry, vacuuming, and putting together the bunk beds to make weekend overnights easier.

Tomorrow will be spent cleaning and purging here at home.

I think I'm ready to part with some of the kids' stuff that I've been holding on to just because I feel like they *should* play with it.

Like Rayce's marble track.

He only got it at Christmas this past year.

But the bottom line it, he doesn't play with it.

He hasn't since like the second week we had it.

And it has parts.

Lots of small parts.

That get scattered, dumped, and separated.

I think I'm ready to just let it go.

The girls need to part with a few baby dolls.

And I'm thinking about putting the Littlest Pet Shop toys up in the attic for a couple months to see if we miss them.

Those are another thing.

They don't really play with them.

But they get dumped. Scattered. Spread around.

And I *think* I'm ready to let them go but I want to be sure first.

Hence the attic storage idea, to see if they're missed.

It's ridiculous that *I* have such an issue letting go of the kids *toys*.

The larger of the boys car/truck toys could probably go, too.

Including some things I got them for Christmas.

But if they don't play with them anyway, they're just adding to the mess, unnecessarily.

I feel like I'm ready to let go of a lot of stuff.

I need to bring the rest of the summer clothes down from the attic, too.

And do a few loads of laundry.

Mostly, the clothes on the bathroom floor.

And I want to wash the kids bedding.

And mine.

I'd really like to rent a rug doctor carpet shampooer, too.

Ok, enough rambling for now.

Yes, I'm a bad blogger.

Seems to be the title of most of my posts lately!

There just isn't too much going on.

Same old.

Rayce is doing great in school.

Charlize is registered for kindergarten.

Liliya's paperwork is rolling for head start.

We saw Anthony's family on Sunday for a few hours.

It's such a long trip for a few hours of visiting time, but it's worth it anyway.

It makes for a quick visit when no one gets home from work and church till 1 and you need to leave by 530 to be home by 7 and drop the boys off and get the kids in bed!

Rayce starts tee-ball in a little less than 2 weeks.

Seems like it started earlier last year.

But we're excited anyway.

I didn't sign Charlize up because I didn't think she'd be able to pull herself away from the playground to play ball.

Mom is on vacation, she left on Saturday and will be gone until this Sunday.

It's weird without her here.

I hate doing dishes.

I hate being alone in the house, especially at night.

I'm trying hard to get things done while she's gone.

Hence the lack of facebook time.

Anyway, that's all I got for now.

It's Saturday night and it's been a long weekend already.

Drew and Reni and Drew's little brother Chance spent the night last night.

We were planning to work in the backyard last night but it was cold and rainy.

This morning I got all the kids ready and we went out to my dad and stepmom's for an egg hunt, since last weekend was cold and rainy.

The kids had a blast.

MiMa had a project planned for them for after the egg hunting.

They tried to make silly putty.

Something didn't quite turn out right, and their putty ended up more like rubber balls.

But they had fun anyway!

They got lots of candies and coins, and I got some cute pictures :o)

My stepmom and I didn't have the best relationship while I was growing up.

But now, I feel like we have a great one.

And every time I see how much she truly loves my kids, I love her that much more.

It's a great feeling :o)

Drew kept the kids for an hour and a half tonight while I helped Holden and Dante's mom move.

Again.

I hope they can stay in this apartment for a while.

With all the moving they've done, they sure have gotten good at packing quickly, though!

I brought the boys witth me when we were done, picked up my kiddos, and we came home.

The kids ate too much candy, stayed up too late, but now they're finally asleep.

Tomorrow, we're headed to Syracuse to see Anthony's family.

Grampa Tony, Nanna Betty, cousins Lanaya and Kyle, Auntie Lisa...

and we can't wait!

I got about 5 loads of laundry done today.

The kids 'cleaned' up their rooms.

It's been a reasonably successful day, so far.

The girls and I started off this morning doing our monthly Salvation Army trip.

Didn't find too much, honestly.

A couple pairs of shorts for Rayce.

A few t shirts.

Then we made a stop at the PAL center.

I had to drop off a friends Easter props that I used for my weekend photoshoots.

So we stayed for an hour and played.

Then we hit WalMart for a few random things like dog food and egg noodles.

I bought myself a face cleansing kit that's a lot like ProActive.

I hope it works.

I'm sick of being stuck in this place, with my skin, with huge zits like a 15 year old and fine lines and wrinkles like a 45 year old.

C'mon, mother nature.

Cut me some slack.

I'm hoping this stuff helps.

While I was at WallyWorld I found the bikes my friend Amy had been telling me about.

Mom and I are going to go back at some point to get bikes for the kids for Easter :o)

I'll just get them each a tiny basket, and hang their baskets from their new bikes.

I'm terribly excited!

As soon as we were about to leave WM, said friend called and told me she had found some lunch containers on sale, just like the ones I have been eyeing, with the freezer pack built right in.

It just so happened that there were FIVE of them left.

What are the chances?

So she grabbed them for me and then I swung by Weggies to meet her and pick them up and pay her back.

They even came with little sporks and knives that have a little compartment in the lid!

It's already after 4pm but I'm feeling like it's been a fairly productive day.

Now, to get to cleaning this pigstye :-/

It took a looong time but I got the downstairs *mostly* picked up.
The kids were so very uncooperative.
I ended up setting the timer for 10 minutes and throwing away whatever wasn't picked up from the sweep pile at the end.
The kids lost about half of their colored pencils and a handful of play-doh toys, among other things.
I'm just OVER being the only one who cleans up.
My kids are still young.
6, 4, and 3.
But there's NO reason they can't help pick up.
If I say to them "Mama's trying to clean up. Rayce, clear off the dining room table. Charlize, pick up all the toys that are on the floor in the living room and put them in the toybox. Liliya, pick up all the shoes and put them in the shoe bin.", they should be able to do those things.
It's not like I'm asking them to wash the laundry or mop the floor or scrub the outside of the second floor windows, ya know?
Maybe next time they'll take me a little more seriously.
I'm just really, really, really over it.
Completely.
They need to learn to pick up.
In addition to losing what was left on the floor after ten minutes, they also lost the Wii for the rest of the week.
I'm gonna start being a real hard-a$$ about this.
They need to learn to be responsible.
Really.
Not just cuz they'll get an allowance if they clean up.
But because being responsible is the right thing to do, they need to do what they can to help the family function at its best.
So they're gonna start losing their stuff if they don't take care of it.

I've got serious amounts of laundry to do tomorrow.
I was feeling caught up.
But now I haven't done any laundry in days and I'm terribly behind again.
And I forgot the borax, again, even though I walked right past it at WalMart.
*sigh*

And bedrooms to clean in between loads of laundry.

I've recruited Drew to help me get the backyard in shape, for the weekend after this coming weekend.
We've GOT to get some grass growing this year.
Not having grass in the backyard drives me NUTS!

Anyway, must sleep.

bad blogger, random updates

I've been a bad blogger, yet again.

The truth is, I've been crazy busy.

It never ends.

Sweeping and mopping, temper tantrums, and laundry.

And editing photos from this past weekend.

Which you can check out here on my photography blog.

Not much has been going on here.

Same old, same old.

Rayce is back at school after spring break.

Charlize has been having more demonic fits of rage than normal.

Liliya gets funnier every day.

Dante is the only night-trained kid who wakes up dry regularly.

Holden has been having some serious attitude problems lately, worse than usual.

I finally got my bedroom picked up enough to find and vacuum the floor.

Which resulted in tons of laundry to wash.

Laundry that had previously been clean.

Until the kids went on a rampage while they were home with gramma, and tossed every clean piece of clothing all over the floor.

Where it sat. For a couple months.

And now has to be washed again.

But at least my floor is clean now!

I'm beginning to feel kind of blah again.

And I realized just now that it coincides with a lot of other issues I have that have to deal with that time of the month.

I'll have to keep an eye on that and write it down and see if does that every month or it's just a coincidence this month.

Hmmmmmmm.

Rayce brought his report card home yesterday.

He has missed a LOT of school.

3-5 kids pass around a lot of germs.

But the amount of school he's missed is crazy, and I had no idea the days had added up so much.

His reading level finally went up.

Third grade reading level :o)

My smart cookie.

I was beginning to worry, because his last report card of kindergarten put him at level 21.

And it's stayed at level 21, for 3 report cards, until this most recent one.

I was relieved to see it at the next marker.

Other than that, his report card was typical for him.

A lot of 3's in effort (rated 1-4), a few 4's, and a lot of M's (meets grade level expectations) and A's (above grade level expectations).

His 'constant chatting continues to be an issue'. :o(

We had a long talk last night about personal responsibility.

And how right now, his responsibility, his job, is to work hard at school.

I don't know if he gets it.

I tried to explain to him how he's so smart, and he has a little bit of an advantage over some of the kids in his class, and he needs to work to keep that advantage. That he needs to put effort into his work to stay a little bit ahead.

He really tends to just do things as quickly as he can to get them over with.

Which results in careless mistakes, sloppy work.

He's very, very distractable, too.

I plan to talk to his teacher about his attention.

She works with kids, she has forever, so she's seen a lot of kids his age.

I just want to check with someone with lots of kid experience to make sure his issues are relatively normal.

(in the back of my head, part of me is wondering if he's borderline ADD, the only thing he can sit still for and focus on is TV and video/computer games)

I've never had an almost 7 year old boy before, this is my first go-round.

So I just want to cover my bases and be sure.

Anyway, must go...

got to get Rayce ready for school.

1. I'm 26 years old. Which is closer to 30 than it is to 20. I'm starting to feel 'old'.

I absolutely could not sleep last night, even though I was completely exhausted.

I was up till well after 3am :o(

Had a hard time functioning for the first 3/4 of the day.

Did manage to get a nap, thankfully.

We layed around alllllll day.

Rayce is covered in new spots. Very swollen and hard, red, and warm.

These look different than the spots that I thought were chicken pox last week.

These are definitely bug bites.

He got all the ones on his arms while we were outside yesterday, and he got a couple on his legs at some point.

Ugh.

I just don't know.

We'll be looking for some children's benadryl when we go out grocery shopping tomorrow!

I had quite the little adventure tonight.

Went over to Drew's after I put the kids in bed, like I usually do.

We were hanging out, snuggling, and I kept thinking I heard something.

So I shut the door, because it was unnerving.

And the door locked.

We got locked IN the bedroom.

And no one could find a key to the apartment.

And we couldn't get out.

And we couldn't get the window open.

When we finally did get the window open, Drew wanted ME to jump out and run around the front door, because his shoes weren't in the bedroom. BUT that was like a 6 foot drop.

I fall hard. And I'm not graceful at all.

Drew did this James Bond tuck and roll out the window, it was very amusing and I wish I had gotten it on video.

I tossed him my house key out the window, he ran around and came in the front door, and broke into the bedroom door with a knife.

Yeesh.

It was an adventure.

Took us 45 minutes.

By the end of that 45 minutes, I was starting to feel slightly claustrophobic, just from being locked in the bedroom!

When I got home at ten, the kids were still awake.

Still messing around.

They had broken a lightbulb and so Mom had sent them into MY room.

Ummm, how bout not.

So I vacuumed the mess up and sent them back to bed.

I don't know how they can be up so late and still have so much energy the next day.

It never works like that for me!

I put my new car decals on the van today.

I LOOOOOVE them.

It was a pain getting what was left of the old decals off, but it was more than worth it to get the new ones on.

I had to put them at the top of the back window, to avoid the path of the wiper blade, so it doesn't look as nice in that respect.

But the decals are *awesome*.

If you are ever looking for decals for your car (or vinyl decals for anything, really, or custom t-shirts or sweatshirts or anything of that type!), let me know and I'll hook ya up with Harold Green at L&M Graphics (a mommy friend's husband, he's a graphic artist, and he's great at what he does!)! His prices are great, too! I paid just $5 for each of the in loving memory decals, and only $2 each for the stick figures in the family decal. These went on so much more easily than the previous decals I've had, and they seem like a much higher quality.

I loooooove them!

Anyway, nuff for now, it's 11 and I need to hit the hay while I have the chance!
